welcome to the vatican
Once upon a time I went to the Vatican Museum in Rome. I. Died. So much beautiful and inspiring art. It is so incredible to see things you've studied in the flesh. The history is just amazing. I got to see "The School of Athens" *swoon*, and when I stepped into the Sistine Chapel literal tears came to my eyes. We weren't allowed to take photos in the chapel, so I was a good little girl and listened. It was almost better to just enjoy looking at it then trying to get a great picture though. It was so big and so incredible. I was floating on a little cloud the whole way through the museum. One thing I learned though is the next time I go to Europe I'm going to for darn sure bring a wide angle lens, cause I couldn't get a lot of the wide shots I wanted on the lens I brought (I'm such a noob). Cause really, the ceilings in this place? Breathtaking.
That. looks. marvelous.
